Week 26 – What an amazing week we had last week!  From the great news last Monday about the students that earned a chair placement for the 2021 Senior All-Shore Band to getting to great days of in person rehearsal in the Band Room together.  It was so good getting to stand on the podium again and have music being played together.  Now, it wasn’t anything fancy, it was just the scales that we have been working on independently over the past 4 weeks, but it was an important step for us as it was the first time that any of them have had to try to play their instrument with a mask on, and either a bell cover for the brass, or a bag for the woodwinds.  The percussion even had a new experience in playing with gloves on.  This week we are looking to actually begin rehearsing some of the music that we have been working on.  On the days that the ensembles have class online in the afternoon, we will continue with our break-out room sectionals.  Then, on the days that we have class in person in the mornings, we will be attempting our first full rehearsal of actual music that we have been working on.  Wednesday will continue to be a brief check-in class to go over the Asynchronous work for the day.

Thursday – Cohort B Day 1: Symphonic Band @ 12:00pm / Concert Band @ 12:40pm

Friday – Cohort B Day 2: Symphonic Band@ 7:45am / Concert Band @ 8:30am
