Week 27 – We had another amazing week last week!  Once again it was so good standing on the podium again and actually running rehearsals on the music that both ensembles have been working on.  So, we worked on Stars and Stripes Forever in the Symphonic Band Classes on Tuesday and Friday, and the Concert Band worked on The Bottom line on those two days as well.  Thursday, during class, I met with the members of the Marching Lions to share some great news with them.  I had just received the fall sports schedule and was able to share the plan that I had been carrying in my back pocket since the fall.  The members of the Marching Lions Band are going to be able to get together in small groups to go to each of the Stadium Events and provide the Star Spangled Banner live at the start of each of the games.  A Google Sheet has been set up for the members of the Marching Lions to sign up for a day that works for them to be a part of the ensemble that day.  We are limiting it to 8 members, including the Drum Major or Assistant Drum Major that will also go with the winds/percussion.  We are so excited to be able to provide this opportunity to the winds and percussion.

Wednesday – Asynchronous Check-in Day: Symphonic Band @ 9:10am / Concert Band @ 9:25am

Thursday – Cohort B Day 1: Symphonic Band @ 12:00pm / Concert Band @ 12:40pm

Friday – Cohort B Day 2: Symphonic Band@ 7:45am / Concert Band @ 8:30am

Saturday – JV Football Game @ 9AM – Report time for those playing will be 8AM (Band Room)
