Here we are coming in to the last week of the month of May already.  This week we begin our run of performance exams for the Concert and Symphonic Bands.  We have our interviews and auditions for the 2010-2011 Marching Lions Leadership Team and the final performances for the 2009-2010 Marching Lions Band as they march two parades this coming weekend.

Here is what is going on this week:

Monday – Marching Band Rehearsal after school.

Tuesday – Drum Major Auditions/Interviews

Wednesday – Color Guard Captain Auditions/Interviews

Thursday – Section Leader Interviews

Saturday – Chestertown Tea Party Parade at 10:00 AM in Chestertown.
(Students need to report at 8:00 AM ready to get dressed and loaded.)

Centreville Memorial Day Parade at 12:00 Noon in Centreville
(Students should have a few minutes to eat a packed snack once we return to the HS to start the
parade.  However, no student will be permitted to leave the school grounds.)

Announcement of the 2010 – 2011 Marching Lions Band Leadership Team

Next week we will hold the 2010-2011 Marching Lions Band Mini-Camp from 6-8 PM on June 1, 2, and 3.  All parents need to attend the meeting that will begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 3rd.
