As we begin the month of March, we also begin our celebration of Music In Our Schools Month and Sousa’s March Mania.  This week the Symphonic Band will continue its preparations for District Band Festival.  The permission slips that have to be put on file here in the front office when we go, was passed out to each of the students in class on Friday.  These need to be signed and returned by the end of this week.  There will also be a Booster Meeting in the Band Room on Thursday night.

Taking a look ahead to next week, we will head to Kent County High School on Wednesday for District Band Festival.  In two weeks, we will begin our Jazz Band rehearsals on Tuesday, March 17th, after school.  Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  We will also begin our Marching Band rehearsals on Monday, March 23rd, from 6 – 8 PM, in preparation for the Spring Concert, Spring Trip, and the Tea Party Parade.

Monday – Marching Band Rehearsal (6-8 PM)

Tuesday – Jazz Band Rehearsal (After school)

Wednesday – No After School Rehearsal
Band Booster Meeting @ 7:00 PM

Thursday – Jazz Band Rehearsal (After school)

Friday – No After School Rehearsal
