This week the Symphonic and Concert Bands continue to prepare for the Pops Concert that will be in three weeks, on October 20th. The Marching Band will have a very busy week preparing for and performing at the various Homecoming activities.

Lake Forest HS T.O.B. 9/25/21 Results

Last night the Marching Lions Band traveled to Lake Forest High School in Felton, DE for their second competition of the season.  After another week of very hard work finishing up putting the rest of the show on the field, they gave a great performance and  increased their score to 78.45.  They also received the specialty awards for Best Percussion and Best Color Guard.  Next week the Marching Lions Band will be off the road as they participate in the QACHS Homecoming Festivities and Activities.

Update for the Week of 9/20/21 – 9/25/21

This week the Symphonic and Concert Bands continue to prepare for the Pops Concert that will be on October 20th.  The Marching Band will be working very hard as they continue to put the lasts few sets of their show on the field before traveling to Lake Forest HS for their second competition of the season.  This past weekend they began their season at the new Odessa HS in Townsend, DE and earned an opening season score of 77.7 that placed them in 1st place in their group class.  Friday night, the Marching Lions will also be playing at the QACHS vs KCHS home football game.  The marching band seniors will be recognized in a special pre-game presentation.  All parents of these seniors are being asked to join us at the field at 6:30.

Middletown/Odessa HS T.O.B. 9/18/21 Results

Last night the Marching Lions Band traveled to Odessa High School’s Ducks Stadium in Townsend, DE for their first competition of the season. After another week of very hard work, the band started their season with a score of 77.7 that earned them a 1st Place finish in Group 1 Open. Next week the Marching Lions Band will be traveling to Felton, DE for Lake Forest High School’s “September Classic” T.O.B. Competition.

This week will be our first full week of school for everyone.  The Symphonic and Concert Bands are busy working on their music for the Pops Concert that will be on October 20th.  The Marching Band will travel to the Middletown/Odessa High School T.O.B. Competition on Saturday.

The Lake Forest HS “September Classic” TOB Competition is being held at Lake Forest HS in Felton, DE.  The show begins at 5:00PM.

Update for the Week of 9/6/21 – 9/11/21

Today we are off for Labor Day as we take our last opportunity to enjoy summer.  This week the Concert and Symphonic Bands will continue to sight read through the music that we will be working on for the Pops Concert that will be October 20th.  After school as Marching Lions Band members will stay for sectional rehearsals.  Friday will be our first home football game.  This will mean that the Marching Lions will have rehearsal after school, then take a dinner break before getting dressed and attending the game to support the Varsity Lions Football team.  On Saturday, the Marching Lions will have a full day rehearsal as we work toward finishing putting the drill for their field show on the field.

The packets containing the audition information for Jr. and Sr. All-State Band auditions will be available in the band room.  Please be sure to pick up a packet if you are interested in auditioning.
