The Queen Anne’s County High School Band Group on Facebook is the newest medium in technology for the band program at QACHS. First came the Band Website. Second came the Band Blog. Third was the concession stand Wiki. Fourth was the podcast series “From the Director’s Desk”. Now is the Facebook Group. I hope this will become an active place where everyone past and present can collaborate, stay up to date, and reminisce everything about the band program at QACHS.

The QACHS Band traveled to Hershey, PA to participate in the North American Music Festivals – Hershey Festival over the weekend. The Marching Band received a rating of “Excellent” and the Concert Band also received a rating of “Excellent” in addition to taking 1st Place in the Grade 4 Music Category. Both bands were adjudicated by three highly qualified adjudicators that either teach at the University level or are current or retired Military Band Directors. It was an exceptional educational experience for the Concert Band as they were given a mini clinic by Col. Thomas Palmatier, the Army Field Band Director from Fort Meade after their performance.
