Following the first hour of the Mini Camp tonight, there will be an informational meeting at 7:00 PM for all 2009 – 2010 Marching Band Members and their parents.  It is important that everyone make plans to attend as we will be discussing all of the policies and schedules for next year.  The attendance policy will be signed by both parent and student and turned in with the $25 deposit on the $75 band camp fee.  The remaining amount will be due prior to the start of camp in July.

Due to a schedule conflict with the facilities here at the High School that I just learned about yesterday afternoon, we will be holding Tuesday’s Mini Camp at Centreville Middle School. The times will remain the same from 6 – 8 PM.

I look forward to seeing everyone there as we start another exciting season!

The QACHS Band traveled to Hershey, PA to participate in the North American Music Festivals – Hershey Festival over the weekend. The Marching Band received a rating of “Excellent” and the Concert Band also received a rating of “Excellent” in addition to taking 1st Place in the Grade 4 Music Category. Both bands were adjudicated by three highly qualified adjudicators that either teach at the University level or are current or retired Military Band Directors. It was an exceptional educational experience for the Concert Band as they were given a mini clinic by Col. Thomas Palmatier, the Army Field Band Director from Fort Meade after their performance.
